The Ministry of Education has released its decision on the 2019 Awards for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research (Science and Technology) in institutions of higher learning.

Among all 116 first prize winners of all categories of science and technology, Zhejiang University won nine first prizes.

Three scientific research achievements of our college won the first prize of science and Technology Progress of Institutions of higher learning in 2019: "Collaborative Perception and Accurate Management Technology and Application of Farmland Information Space" led by Prof. He Yong, "Key Technology and Industrialization of Water saving in Canning production and new Citrus Pectin Recovery" led by Prof. Ye Xingqian, “Research and Application of Key Technologies of Fresh Keeping in Precise Logistics of Characteristic Fruits and Vegetables” led by Prof. Luo Zisheng.

The year 2019 is a year of great significance in China's reform and opening up and its development and prosperity. It is also a year of the sprint to win and build a well-off society in an all-round way. In order to deeply study and carry out Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, vigorously implement the strategy of developing the country through science and education, the strategy of developing the country with strong talents and the strategy of innovation-driven development, promote scientific and technological innovation in colleges and universities, and support the training of high-quality talents, the Ministry of Education has organized the evaluation of the 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Higher Education (Science and Technology). After evaluation by the evaluation committee, evaluation committee and approval by the Ministry of Education, a total of 315 persons won various types of higher education science and technology awards, including 1 special prize, 116 first prize (40 natural science awards, 27 technology invention awards, 49 technology progress awards), 188 second prizes, 10 youth science awards.
