The BEB team from the Institute of Agricultural Bio-Environmental Engineering (IABE), won the “2019 Chinese aquaculture industry top ten outstanding contribution award”

On April 26-27, 2019, the third Chinese Aquatic Science and Technology Conference, called “the Davos forum of aquatic industry”, was held in Chengdu Tongwei International Center. With the theme of "Science and Technology enabling Innovation driving Quality and Fishing", this conference presented the progress of cutting-edge science and technology as well as the achievements of scientific research, and share the achievements of research, development and application. More than 800 guests, from more than 400 units, such as fishery authorities, universities, research institutes and fishery aquatic enterprises, gathered in Rongcheng for industrial future development. Prof. Zhu Songming and Prof. Ye Zhangying, BEB team leaders of Institute of Agricultural Bioenvironmental Engineering, led Jin Guang, a postdoctoral student, Huang Xiaoling, a master candidate, and other students were invited to attend the conference.

In order to set up and award industry icons and encourage innovation-driven development, the "2019 Chinese Aquatic Science and Technology Conference Award Ceremony" was held ceremoniously. The judging panel composed of aquatic authority and enterprise representatives, selected the "Top ten Outstanding Contribution Awards" of China's aquatic industry, based on the comprehensive evaluation of scientific and technological innovation, industry contribution, etc. The BEB team from the Institute of Agricultural Bio-Environmental Engineering (IABE), Zhejiang University won the “2019 Chinese aquaculture industry top ten outstanding contribution award”, and obtained grand recognition by the general assembly, because they "committed to building a cooperation platform to create intelligent fishery aquaculture equipment, as well as research and development of modern fishery aquaculture models, so as to continuously cultivate outstanding talents for China's aquaculture industry facing modernization, the world and the future.

This session held the "New Aquaculture Model and Black Box Recycling Aquaculture sub-Forum" for the first time. The experts had a heated discussion on the topics of three-stage facility aquaculture model and technical equipment, the progress in research and application of facility ecological aquaculture under tongwei "Fish light integrated" model, and the application of black science and technology in aquatic fish fry and aquaculture. Prof. Zhu Songming and Prof. Ye Zhangying from the BEB team of the Institute of Agricultural Bioenvironmental Engineering were invited as important guests to attend the meeting. They introduced the research work on "Three-stage facility aquaculture model and technical equipment" and "Establishment and optimization of aquaculture mode" respectively. Post-doc. Jin Guang from BEB team was invited to be the moderator of this sub-forum.

In 2019, the BEB team will continue to strive for development and achieve win-win cooperation with various enterprises and scientific research institutions in the aquatic industry to achieve greater achievements!
